Mark, <<Windows and VHS are better products.>> Now you are confusing opions with facts. Beta was technically (from a video quality viewpoint a better product than VHS. It didn't sell because Sony tried to make it a closed proprietary system. The rest of the industry said screw you Sony and developed their own inferior standard which of cousre caught on due to wide acceptance and became the standard. <<Didn't Intel beat AMD to market with the 386? Which product was produced first?>> Yes, but AMD came out with a higher speed 386. FF
