Free DD from Gartner... events.audionet.com Check out the Keynote and IT Industry addresses. They are lengthy so get a beer and sit back. Gartner is decidely pro IBM and pro Oracle, but they do spend a LOT of time with customers and understand their buying behaviors. The George Gilder Keynote is interesting too, even though he is 'way out there' in the ether. A VERY LONG term perspective and an unusual speaking style. Larry is also on PC Week Radio this week if anyone is interested. Correction to an earlier post of mine -- Oracle DOES care about people migrating to O8 in a timely manner because laggards increase their testing and porting costs. They have to certify new products on both 7.3 and 8.x before release. I don't see Oracle being able to discontinue 7.3 certification on their other products until after 2000 because customers are too caught up in Y2K issues to focus on chasing the upgrade tail. Fly low, sell high... Fly low, sell high...
