Highlights of the News

Donald John Trump is still our president.

ITEM 1: Charlie Brown: Isn't there anyone who knows what Christmas is all about?

Linus Van Pelt: Sure, Charlie Brown, I can tell you what Christmas is all about.

[Moves toward the center of the stage]

Linus Van Pelt: Lights, please.

[A spotlight shines on Linus]

Linus Van Pelt: "And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. And lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid. And the angel said unto them, 'Fear not:"

[Linus drops his security blanket on purpose]

Linus Van Pelt: "For behold, I bring unto you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the City of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord. And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.' And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host, praising God, and saying, 'Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.'"

[Linus picks up his blanket and walks back towards Charlie Brown]

Linus Van Pelt: That's what Christmas is all about, Charlie Brown.

***

Charles Schultz fought CBS censors to keep that scene. Without that scene, there was nothing special about his Christmas special.

Without that Scripture, today is just another Saturday.

ITEM 2: Maggie Haberman tweeted, "A way to stick it to the WH press corps he hates is a 7:30 AM call time on Christmas Eve for a currently empty public schedule."

Another complaint from a White House press corps that hates the president.

Red State noted, "Nice that you have a job to go to at all, Maggie, when millions of Americans—especially those in the restaurant industry in New York—are still suffering through this pandemic and facing Christmas without a paycheck, and maybe even without a home."

I hear Palm Beach is warm this time of year.

Meanwhile, Waste Management workers collected trash on Christmas Eve across the country. They would have liked to have slept in till 7:30 AM.

ITEM 3: The New York Post reported, "Dr. Deborah Birx said she took her Thanksgiving jaunt to Delaware because her parents were so down in the dumps, they 'stopped eating and drinking' — a justification ripped by people who said it was her coronavirus restrictions that prevented them from seeing their own dying loved ones.

"In her interview with Newsy, in which the White House coronavirus task force coordinator revealed she plans to retire over the scandal of breaking her own travel guidance, Birx complained about how her family had been suffering over her own guidelines."

I am glad she got to save her parents.

Now she should save others by advocating an end to these lockdowns and these bans on being with loved ones.

It has been nearly 9 months.

Enough.

ITEM 4: President Trump bestowed the National Security Medal upon Ric Grenell.

The former acting DNI said, "This was a great honor -- especially because it came from President Trump who has used diplomacy to bring peace to the world. He has started no new wars, brought US troops home, built up the US military -- and still signed Peace deals."

Amen.

ITEM 5: United Press International reported, "Congressman Rick Larsen of Washington said has has tested positive for the coronavirus becoming the latest U.S. member of Congress to contract covid 19 as the country rolls out its vaccination campaign.

"In a tweet on Wednesday, the Washington Democrat said he received the positive test results a day prior."

How can this be?

Washington state and Washington, D.C., where he works have strict covid 19 protocols.

ITEM 6: Trending Politics reported, "Former regional political director for Beto O’Rourke and Democrat political strategist Damien Thaddeus Jones has come forward, alleging that a massive voter fraud ring was taking place in Harris County, Texas.

"Thaddeus Jones claims the operation was overseen by Texas Political Director for the Joe Biden presidential campaign Dallas Jones."

Houston is in Harris County, which is the most populous county in the state.

This is why Fox was reluctant to call Texas, which wasn't close, while calling Arizona quickly, which was close.

The fix was in. The media knew. But too many Texans vote for the president for Democrats to steal the state.

The steal was not limited to 6 states.

ITEM 7: Zero Hedge reported, "New York Closing 3 Upstate Prisons Due To Budget Constraints, 1,000 Jobs Affected."

The story said, "The state has closed more than 17 state prisons over the last decade. Prisoners in New York have decreased by 39% since Gov. Andrew Cuomo took office."

Crime in New York City is at a 30-year high.

ITEM 8: The Daily Caller reported, "Fox News host Tucker Carlson aired exclusively obtained police bodycam footage on Tuesday night’s Tucker Carlson Tonight of Georgia Democratic Senate candidate Raphael Warnock and his then-wife speaking to police after a domestic dispute in March.

"Warnock’s then-wife, Ouleye Ndoye, appears to tell police that her husband is a great actor who is phenomenal at putting on a really good show after he denied purposefully running over her foot."

This is the pond scum Democrats want to send to Washington.

Well, it is a swamp.

ITEM 9: Newsmax reported, "The Maryland canine officer who pleaded on Newsmax TV for a pardon from President Donald Trump has received her Christmas wish.

"The former Prince George's County Police canine officer Stephanie Mohr, convicted in 2001 of a federal Civil Rights violation, served 10 years in prison after her police dog bit a burglar during an arrest in 1995."

It gets worse.

The story said, "After a series of newspaper articles about alleged brutality by the Prince George's County Police Department, federal prosecutors indicted Mohr one day before the Statute of Limitations was set to expire on a five-year-old incident during which an undocumented immigrant was caught on the roof of a commercial printing business.

"Officer Mohr, who had a 2-year-old son at home, said she was scapegoated to satisfy The Washington Post after an FBI investigation into alleged brutality failed to result in any other convictions. Her first trial acquitted her of one charge and ended in a hung jury on the other, but a second trial brought a conviction and the 10-year sentence."

Clinton and the second Bush should have manned up and stopped this persecution.

Blue Lives Matter.

If that makes me racist, fine.

ITEM 10: The Daily Caller reported, "Dr. Anthony Fauci reportedly said in a phone interview that he has been deliberately changing his public statements regarding the covid 19 pandemic because he didn’t think people were ready to hear his true beliefs, according to the New York Times.

"Fauci has been slowly increasing the number of Americans he says need to be vaccinated for the U.S. to reach herd immunity in public statements, the New York Times reported Thursday morning. He reportedly told the Times he has done so 'partly based on new science, and partly on his gut feeling that the country is finally ready to hear what he really thinks.'"

He admitted that in February he lied about masks.

Now this.

I figured out why the press likes him.

He lies just like them.

ITEM 11: Zero Hedge reported, "On Tuesday morning, the Baltimore City Fraternal Order of Police warned in a series of tweets that more officers have left the department than hired over the last two years."

The tweets said, "500 Officers short! Homicides and shootings are pacing with last year's record violent crime stats and we have lost more Officers than we have hired over the last 2 years of PC Harrison's tenure in Baltimore.

"No actionable crime plan at the street level! In the last 13 days, there have been 19 homicides and 30 failed murders (shootings) in Baltimore. If your starting pitcher is getting crushed, you bench him!"

Democrats have turned Baltimore into a city of savages.

Thanks to the media's vile and hysteric promotion of Black Lives Matter, hundreds of black people are gunned down in city upon city.

How can things get worse?

Stay tuned.

ITEM 12: The Daily Wire reported, "Speaking at his press conference on Monday, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo claimed he was going to have a great holiday season, adding, 'Santa’s going to be very good to me; I can tell. I worked hard this year.'"

OK, New York.

I see what the problem is.

You elected as governor an idiot who still believes in Santa.

ITEM 13: KTLA reported, "The California Supreme Court declined Wednesday to stop the murder prosecution of a woman who had used methamphetamine and whose fetus was stillborn.

"In doing so, the court rejected a rare challenge by the state’s attorney general, Xavier Becerra, whose office normally represents county prosecutors when their cases are appealed, the San Francisco Chronicle reported Thursday.

"But Becerra, tapped by President-elect Joe Biden to head the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, is also a supporter of reproductive rights and in a letter to justices said that fear of prosecution may prevent pregnant women from seeking addiction services. The case could also prompt extra scrutiny by law enforcement on miscarriages and stillbirths, he said."

Addiction services?

Becerra wants to protect the billion-dollar abortion industry because if a woman cannot kill her baby on the womb using meth, then it is illegal to use Planned Parenthood or some butcher with a medical license to do so.

ITEM 14: The Texarkana Gazette reported, "Texas Land Commissioner George P. Bush is weighing a bid for attorney general, as the Republican currently in the job, Ken Paxton, faces new criminal accusations.

"Several campaign donors have asked Bush to consider running in 2022, senior political adviser Ash Wright said. The Republican has not made a decision."

Here comes Jeb! Junior riding in like a RINO cowboy.

Oh wait, I forgot. A president's kids are off limits.

Oh wait, I forgot. Jeb! was never president.

ITEM 15: Fox Business reported, "Americans are hitting the road in record numbers despite government warnings that people should stay home during the Christmas holidays to limit the spread of covid 19.

"A fresh load of infections, hospitalizations and even deaths -- on top of an already devastating year -- has prompted a new round of travel bans and lockdown measures in some states.

"There is no blanket restriction nationwide, though, and the Transportation Security Administration screened more than 1.1 million passengers at airline security checkpoints nationwide on Wednesday, the most since March 16."

This is what Americans need to do.

We need to start acting like Americans again.

FINALLY, the New York Post reported, "Waitress shares $1,000 tip with co-workers in Maine restaurant."

The story said, "A waitress in Maine got an early Christmas present – a $1,000 tip from a fellow server who stopped by with her family for a bite 15 minutes before closing this past Saturday, according to a report.

Linda Tucker, who has been waiting on tables at Fran’s Restaurant in Lewiston for almost 12 years, was so moved by the gesture that she decided to pay it forward, the Sun Journal reported."

Covid 19 knocked down the restaurant business.
Tip heavily, if you can.

Merry Christmas.
