The problem I have with Coulter is that she really lacks substance. She's Jon Stewart without the self deprecation.

I can see what you mean with Clinton. I think any politician has a dark side. Democrats tend to see the light side of Clinton, and Republicans the dark side. Same with JFK, whom many idolize (I personally never understood their fascination, he was ok but definitely a silver spooner and had a very dark side).

I don't know if a political party can have a soul. It can have core values. If anything, these core values have shifted more lately in the Republican party than in the Democrat party. So, if a party has really lost its 'soul' lately, I'd have to say it was the GOP. But, eye of the beholder, I guess.
