Hello Tony. Yes. That was a blunder, him leaving the company to pursue OFDM. It should have been done in-house.

Buying it all back a few years later for nearly $1 billion is a lot more expensive than doing it then for $20 million or even $100 million.

SnapTrack hasn't paid for itself yet as far as I know. Let's hope Flarion's OFDM is better. But maybe I'm underestimating what SnapTrack has done for QUALCOMM. I don't really know.
