Carjacking used to be much more common, before most states wrote shall issue concealed carry laws, and millions of citizens started arming themselves on a regular basis. Jusifiable homicides are up in Detroit. It is hard to be certain exactly how many of Detroit's homicides are justifiable, but the Detroit Police Department recorded 19 in 2010, 34 in 2011, and 25 in 2012. As the City has an unsolved homicide rate of 50% to 80%, depending on who is doing the counting, there is plenty of room for many unsolved justifiable homicides. Dean Weingarten Link to Gun Watch
