found this in my email this morning. maybe it will give us another buying opportunity and then maybe wavetop isn't the answer. i think it's going to take some time to get an installed base of tuner instlled computers in homes anyway. wavetop also has a better selection of content. Intercast a dud, so far The year-old broadcast combination of television and Internet content, known as Intercast, has failed to produce any advertising revenue for supporters NBC, CNN and MTV, according to the Simba/Multimedia Entertainment & Technology report. An executive with Intercast co-creator Intel, Joey Hougham, said it's a chicken-and-egg problem; there aren't enough users for advertisers to justify spending money. Web pages are broadcast along with television programming, using vertical blanking interval of the TV signal. Hougham said Intercast may turn to subscription programs or pay-per-view options to generate revenue, Simba reported.
