Goldquest Mining* (GQC : TSX-V : $1.76), Net Change: 0.05, % Change: 2.92%, Volume: 4,915,094Homerun. Goldquest Mining continued to hit it out of the park, releasing more stunning drill results from their Romerogold/copper discovery in the Dominican Republic. Highlights include hole LTP-94, which yielded a stunning 234 m of 7.88 g/tgold and 1.43% copper, including 103 m of 13.17 g/t gold and 1.55% copper. Hole LTP-96 also returned fantastic grades of3.14 g/t gold and 1.07% copper of 188 m. The company commented that Hole LTP 94 is a vertical hole located 24 metres to thenorth and 17 metres higher in elevation from the discovery hole, LTP 90, with mineralization seen directly below superficiallandslip material, consisting of an upper gold unit with lower copper and some zinc, followed by deeper, higher grade gold andcopper horizons at depth. Goldquest CEO Julio Espaillat commented, "The gold and copper mineralization remains open atdepth and in all directions, with variations of grade and metal content perhaps related to greater or lesser porosity of the hostrocks, where the gold and copper sulphide mineralization has been emplaced within a volcanic sequence". Drilling of holesLTP 98 and 99 have been completed, with assays pending, and the company is currently drilling LTP 100 and 101. |
