Qualcomm is starting to clear the air regarding their position in the 3G market. Personally, I thought we were all clear after last year's ERICY deal. Regardless, Snyder and co. have done a great job spreading FUD and it's obviously worked lately since the media keeps reporting blows to Qualcomm every time another carrier talks about going with some flavor of CDMA. Obviously Irwin's "all CDMA is good CDMA" line has been forgotten by the investment community.
Qualcomm needs to continue with the line of PRs like the one today to keep the air clear.
Once the earnings acceleration resumes mainly driven by 1X later this year I think we'll see the stock follow.
