Nervousness and Inexperience

The past week has indicated to me, by the various responses posted on this thread, that many people who believe they are "investors" obviously do not have the temperment to be in the equity markets and know little about the market.

Some suggestions-do yourself a favor (you know who you are):

1. Read and understand about financial markets before you invest. (I suggest those books with the really small print, more than 500 pages, the ones with no pictures.)

2. Understand Volatility. (Understand you are really not market geniuses, except to your spouses, you just caught a bull market at the right moment. You only become market wizards when you make money in down markets as well and do so consistently at that.)

3. Understand Bob's advice is better than your own. He has more experience and a steadier head on his shoulders than most and has better ideas than most of us can come up with. And...

4. Finally, when Bob's call turns out to be right later this year, it will be at the moment you have short-term memory loss about what was posted on the thread this week, don't mark you opinion to the market and tell us you knew all along this was no bear.

Ladies and Gentleman of the Thread we have a lot of equity market FAKERS on this board.
