I just lurk here but recently had some stocks and bonds moved to TDAmeritrade from another broker. It seems to me that no broker wants to give up securities and cash and it took weeks, during which time you can't trade anything while they're in limbo. Try to get some info on time before you do anything or you could get stuck watching bad things happen. SG
