Neat article.

Been kicking around boats (mostly the sailing kind) for close to 40 years. The most accurate comment in that article was the one that referenced the fact that boat sales figures are among the first to fall when the economy so much as sneezes.

Another interesting point to note is that while they may sell you a big boat, they sure do not tell you where you might be able to keep it, or what "dockage" (when it can be found) is worth these days. Buying the boat is the easy part. (g)
