You're right, of course.

Labeling can be very damaging. Depends on the label, of course, but everybody has some vulnerabilities. For everybody, there is some name they can be called that for some reaason hits their "hot button."

It maybe sexual -- gay, fag, deviant. It may be political -- neonazi, liberal, right winger. It may be racial -- racist, jewbaby, nigger. Even--or sometimes especially--if the labels are false they get an automatic and viceral response.
