Capt: For COMPAQ to buy the PC assembly and distribution parts of Inacom would appear to be a backward step from the strategy announced earlier in the year. Assuming that strategy is in place, it would seem more consistent for COMPAQ to direct its Inacom business to one of its other 4 (5?) distributors. However, if COMPAQ is changing strategy and seeking to own more of the distribution process then perhaps it makes sense.

I didn't lke the phrase from Inacom about YK2 related slowdown in sales. I hope that refers to their non-COMPAQ lines.
