Iran didn't have to hold the goods. <Had the "goods" been delivered before victory. Carter had won. > Iran was better with Carter. Much much better. Saddam might not have attacked them for a start, backed by President Reagan.

Meanwhile, Osama was sitting comfy just down the road from Pakistan's military bases, not far from the capital. It seems that he could quite easily have driven down the road and collected a few atomic bombs from the Pakistan stash.

He was obviously in cahoots with Pakistan's military to get away with hanging out in a big barricade house for so long. As I have said for years, a cargo of opium would be excellent cover for an atomic bomb wrapped up in opium. The customs officer at the USA port of entry would turn his normal blind eye as "the goods" came through. He wouldn't let in an atomic bomb, but opium would be okay. Or a container of hashish.

Perhaps now we will find out if the atomic bomb threat was real. It's a lot easier to deliver atomic bombs by container ship and truck than by ICBM. They can be parked in a warehouse and "delivered" at the right time, years later.
