Kerry had nothing to do with that cover. He had left the organization by then thinking them too radical for his taste. The rightwing is lying again on this one. The fact is, Kerry was much more conservative than most anti-war protesters and wanted to help end the war inside the system, not rebelling on the streets. When he led the vets to the Rotunda it was a solemn and tearful time for all. It was one of the most painful things those vets ever did. boston.com
