Andrew: I don't believe I ever said "a few small companies". Indeed, it's "most" small-middle sized companies who rely on mainframes for their business lifeblood. A middle sized business is can have $500 million- $1 billion in revenues! Can you possibly imagine what would happen if 2/3 of NASDAQ listed firms + thousands of other private firms could not properly conduct business on 1/1/00?
