(OTCBB:PTSC - news), the developer of the first, market-ready microprocessor for Java(TM), Wednesday announced that it has retained Dr. Patrick O. Nunally as a business development consultant.
His initial focus will be on developing ``value added'' strategic relationships for Patriot with other companies in the Java embedded marketplace.
Nunally continues in his role as president & chief executive officer of Intertech, a company he founded in 1998. Intertech specializes in intellectual property development for embedded processor and communication systems.

Prior to Intertech, Nunally was president & CEO of Gruppe Telekom Inc., a licensee of Interactive Video and Data Services. Earlier, he served as chief technical officer and co-founder of PlayNet Technologies Inc., a Java-based games company. Immediately prior, he was co-founder and executive vice president of Wave Systems, a pioneer of Internet commerce silicon for consumer applications.
Nunally also held other senior management positions with Sensormatic Video Products Division, Intellisys Automation Inc., E-Metrics Inc., General Dynamics Corp. and Interstate Electronics.
A graduate of California State Polytechnic University, with a B.S. degree in electrical and electronics engineering, Nunally received his MBA degree from the University of LaVerne and his Ph.D. in electrical engineering from Pacific Western University. He is the author of 27 papers published and/or presented in national and international journals and forums. He also is the holder of 47 patents and/or patents pending, primarily in microelectronics, signal processing and processor technologies.
A founder of the IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) Innovation and Entrepreneurship counsel, Nunally was recognized as the IEEE/HKN Outstanding Engineer of the Year in both 1990 and 1992. In 1994, he was named an IEEE/IAE Fellow. He serves on the National Board of Governors of the IEEE, and is vice chairman of the Los Angeles IEEE counsel on engineering management, education and administration.
