Detroit Leads Nation in Foreclosures

The Detroit, Livonia and Dearborn housing market is at the top of a nationwide list of foreclosures for the third quarter of 2006. According to real-estate data firm RealtyTrac, the area saw more than 10,000 foreclosures.

This market had 1 new foreclosure for every 80 households. That is 4 and a half times the national average.

The Warren, Farmington Hills, Troy housing market is ranked number 29 on the list with more than 4,000 foreclosures.
