yes, the 80% ownership by institutions, etc. should have no bearing unless there's something neither of us has considered. But that other 20% would double in terms of shares outstanding, freeing up greater possibilities for ownership by us lesser beings.

It should be noted that that is ASND's pattern - when the price has reached the high 70s or low 80s they've split her.

In the last conference call Ejabat said that the number of shares outstanding increases by 2 million or so (per quarter I believe) as "share equivalents" (which are factored into the weighted average of shares outstanding) become actual shares.

These "share equivalents" become shares when they are issued for employee stock options being exercised as well as shares issued fr acquisitions. I'm not certain about the latter so feel free to correct me. Anyway, a split would also double the quantity of those shares which at some point do come on the market.
