I'm not sure about this "type of software." There are lots of companies doing work in many of the areas Accent is involved in. We should have a better idea soon how the company is doing -- I called Accent today and was told earnings should be out around Aug. 1st, which will be followed by a conference call. If I have the chance to listen to it, I'll post a summary. No one is expecting a profit, but further signs that the new management is turning the company around are essential for stock performance (and probably corporate solvency). Unlike some other high tech companies that went public, the insiders sold and made a fortune, and then the company went bust, I believe Accent's current management is acting with honesty and putting their best efforts into the company. If you have a sizeable portfolio and want to take a huge gamble, buy a few thousand shares. In two years you'll either have an amazing percentage gain or a nice write off against capital gains. If Accent does survive '97, it will be that long before the fundamentals are strong. Good luck.
