YES! Entertainment announces licensing agreement to launch new line of
collectibles

PLEASONTON, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 12, 1997--

- Teeny Weeny Families(TM) To Debut In Late 1997 -

YES! ENTERTAINMENT CORPORATION (Nasdaq:NM - news) today
announced that it has entered into a licensing agreement with Vivid
Imaginations Ltd., a fast growing U.K.-based toy company, to market
Vivid's successful line of Teeny Weeny Families in the United States
and Canada.

Teeny Weeny Families, a series of collectible miniature animal
families and playsets, was launched in Europe in 1996 and was an
instant hit among girls ages four to eight. In many markets, it
overtook the market leader, Polly Pocket, and was voted Toy of the
year in Finland. To date, the product line has generated over $68
million in sales at the retail level.

"Girls' Mini-Dolls is a growing category, accounting for
approximately 2.5% of the domestic toy market," stated Don
Kingsborough, Chief Executive Officer of YES! Entertainment. "Since
the U.S. and European markets for dolls are similar, we believe
Teeny Weeny Families will enjoy the same popularity here and capture
a substantial share of category sales. It is exciting to be able to
acquire the rights to a proven product line that has demonstrated
revenue growth and that can become a category leader."

Designed for girls 4 to 8 years old, the Teeny Weeny Families
line consists of thirteen family playsets and a variety of
accessories. The playsets include a teapot-shaped Hippity Hop Cafe,
which houses the Hoppit Family of eight rabbits - Ma, Pa Grandma,
Uncle Floppy, Aunt Jenny, Harry, Holly and Baby Sally. There is also
the Grand Hotel, a playset in the shape of a grandfather clock that
comes with the Nibble family of seven mice

YES! will support a late 1997 launch of Teeny Weeny Families
with national television advertising, in-store promotion and public
relations efforts. Teeny Weeny Families, which are expected to
retail in the $3.99 to $19.99 range, will be nationally distributed
through toy, specialty toy and mass merchandise retailers in the U.S.
and Canada.
