You did not say it in this sequence. Selling already existing ideas has nothing to do with protectionism, however, any more than it is "protectionist" to sell a master oil painting. Additionally, I said they may be new, but that that is not the focus. Conservatism is a "change agent" by promoting old ideas, primarily, like the efficacy of markets, the value of the rule of law, and the importance of civil liberties. Much of the rest of the world can benefit from changes based on these ideas, and America itself can be improved in accordance with them. Case dismissed.......
