Barack Obama announced today that he is planning to attend the Navy Yard memorial service. According to Jay Carney, 'The president will want to mourn the loss of these innocent victims and share in the nation’s pain in the aftermath of another senseless shooting.' Common sense translation: What Barack Obama will do is: (1) He will take the podium and tell the world that this would not have happened if the partisan republicans had not been working on the sequester (2) He will definitely not call anyone 'his son' (3) He will enlarge upon the fact that we need stronger gun control laws to prevent tragedies like this from ever happening again He will ignore the facts that: (1) The sequester was his idea, and it has nothing to do with the Navy Yard massacre anyway (2) The perp was just as black as Trayvon Martin, so just as likely to look like the president's 'son' (3) Members of his party were the authors and promoters of the ban on guns within military installations ... and Washington, D.C. has among the toughest gun laws in the country Always campaigning. Always willing to use a crisis to his political advantage.
