Frank,

It's hard to predict 10 years after from now. INTC's success depends on the growth of PC industry. Look 10 years back at what so called "PC" (8088/6?). I can't imagine I paid 2K for that thing.
There're 3 big threats I can think of for INTC in the future :

1. Wintel platform lose the battle over RISCs or stop growing
2. Competitions destroy Intel's uP pricing roadmap
3. uP is not the bottleneck of PC computing traffic

Some of us have already known how Intel prepare for these threats.

A1. P7, new system architectures and so on (Deschute, Merced ...)
A2. cost down the next generation chips by moving process technology ahead
A3. Suck all the computing traffic into uP (e.g. FPU, cache, MMX ...)

Only paranoids survive!
