Kerry and McCain led the fight for higher fuel efficiency standards. Their CAFE standards bill, which was defeated thanks to CHeney-Bush oil business lobbying, would have saved us more oil than is in the entire state of Alaska. Cheney-Bush do not want us to conserve. They are for more and more oil consumption. Why? Because their friends make a nice profit every time you fill up your tank. If you are concerned about energy independence and pollution get solidly behind John Kerry.
