wow. I've been lighting these since the beginning of the 80's when I came across them in the Mission district of SF, but didn't know what 'votive' meant. i thought a votive candle was one of those lil things that burns up quick and had no idea why it was called 'votive'. bad lack of curiousity. I'ma take a match to my Good Samaritan candle now with a new vigor. ayup.

and, yes, you can get them in all the stores here now.
