Rod, about erasable CD drives:

I just received some spec sheets from Pinnacle Micro about their Vertex 2.6 GB Optical Hard Drive. Impressive specs, cheaper media, approx same cost/capacity ratio as Jaz (a little higher), until you get to the line (and I quote):

"Media Life"
...
"Frequency of Write Erase More Than 10 Pass"

This does not sound like a hard drive to me, it sounds like an archiving medium. Period.

Not the same animal.
