About 30% of the federal debt needs to be rolled over this year. I was trying to think what could make both the USD and the stock market go down in 2023, and this may be it. Some of the T-bills are going to be rolled over at 4-5% higher rates. $10-Trillion x 4% is $400-billion more to the deficit. Add in around $1.4 Trillion on that for the normal deficit, and you get $1.8-Trillion next year for the deficit.
