Agree 100% on lasers.

My first laser printer was a HP 4P bought back in the mid 90's, cost me 1200 bucks. My new HP laser is a HP 1020, cost me 130.00. You save way more money with laser than ink. The HP 4P was retired about 2 years ago, I wanted a faster printer. It still works 100% perfect after all these years, just slow 4 pages a minute compared to my new one with 20 pages per minute.

Ink printers are a money making machine for the companies that make them.

I spent a pile of money on BubbleJet printers and inkjet printers over the years, I would guess at least 2500 dollars, all were disposed of cause they had problems with heads or just stopped working properly.

IMO laser is the only way to go. If you buy a good laser, it should still be working fine 10 years or longer.
