I use compressed air,
I have some compressed air but it contains a liquid (you have to shake it and/or keep it upright). Have always been concerned with those and the chemicals plus you are moving air not cleaning it.

but my Lian Li case has a good dust filter and it takes a long time for the system to get dirty (2 years in most cases, clean the filter once a month). I see a lot of higher end cases coming with dust filters. If I ever get another desktop, it will be a Lian Li case. Or I may use this one I have now, great case.

My older machine that died was a P160 case from Antec. ~ Beautiful case - aluminum; has dual temp readings at the front top
~ drives sit on a tray with rubber grommets to help curb vibration;
~ drive trays slide into the case at 90 degrees at the side; had 1 120mm fan at the back but also allows for (which I added) a 120mm fan directly in front of the drives at the front (most crappy cases allow a fan at the front but older ones have always been max 80mm and sit at the bottom when the drives are like mid-way in the case)
~ there is a dust filter ahead of the front fan - which I do clean and agree that case is overall cleaner inside than most others. The used one I bot (HP) circa 2006 reminds me of the old crappy cases with no filter and a crappy front fan location.

I will review the Lian Li cases plus Antec and InWin -- I know for sure that the InWin's have both an El Cheapo and quality line.

A good case is a pretty penny - usually in the $150-200 and typically doesn't include a PSU. But agree they are the foundation of a good system and getting a crappy case when spending over $1000 is like buying an iPOD and not buying new high quality earphones.
