Forgive me David, I did miss the second page, but I still contend
that wavephore has lots of potential as a data delivery vehicle.
The article talks about higher badwidths on the way. I agree with
them 100%. But Wavetop's success, is not dependent on high bit rates.
ISDN and ADSL technologies will allow much faster rates than
Wavephore's current system, but Wavephore wants to deliver information
that will complement their delivery style. Look at some of their content providers - Time,Newsweek, Fortune, etc.. As a consumer
you would use their software to screen what information you want,
and then you'd read it when you get home from work or whenever -don't
forget these articles could also have video clips. But the point is
that this is not like going to a web site, click and wait. It's not
the market wavephore is pursuing . How about stock ticker, weather,
sports. You don't need high bandwidth for these services. As for
Intercast, I understand advertiser support is far less then they
had expected, but note that their system sends HTML related to the specific program you're watching.
Incidentally, don't forget Wavephore's proprietary modulation
technology which -I believe - has nothing to do with VBI, was
able to transmit over 400Kbs. Thats almost four time faster than
ISDN. Lets all keep our ears open and look for further developments.

GOOD LUCK TO ALL.
