Warming is a (95%) sure thing An almost meaningless statement. The controversy is not mostly about whether the Earth has gotten warmer. You don't have any consensus of a 95% chance of "The earth is rapidly warming overwhelmingly because of human emissions of CO2, and unless we drastically cut CO2 emissions to a tiny fraction of the current emission rate (which we can do at a reasonable cost) the seas will rise rapidly, flood much of the area of many coastal cities (and most of Florida and Bangldesh and many island countries), cause a massive extinction event through ocean acidification, and result in many more extreme tornadoes, hurricanes droughts etc." Climate change, or even the subset global warming, isn't a binary issue despite the extent that both sides tend to treat it that way all the time.
