BERNIE

I've been gone awhile, so didn't answer soon. Turns out now my
discount broker says I did not have a trade after all. My screen shows
a buy @ 131 with a commission of 875$. I immediately sent email
complaining and asking clarification. No answer except an email
saying they would answer later. Eventually, after several calls from
me, they told me there was no trade made - that their screen was
blank on it. I sent in a copy of my screen which showed a trade,
as well as the bucks deducted from my cash balance. They have
control. I'm still fighting, expecting to talk to a biggy tomorrow, but
my hopes are dim. Some of the other horror stories I read on the
thread make mine look puny, but it is not every day I lose 6500 bucks.
I will definitely call and confirm from now on, and may well move my,
account (IRA) to Schwab, which I have used in the past with no
problems. I think it is really great that you savvy guys take an interest
in the neophytes among you. It is a great thing to be able to get so
much info of all shapes and forms. I've made money in the past,
knowing relatively nothing, compared to what I've learned already
about INTC and INTCW. Hope all this knowledge helps! I did win
a little today betting on the Carolina Panthers. It's amazing that the
Cowboys and the 49ers will not be in Super this year and Jacksonville
and Charlotte might! I played a lot of football years ago and love the
game. Love stock-picking, too, when I'm right. I'm rambling! Where is
humble carl these days?
Thanks for hearing my troubles, if you haven't fallen asleep!

Ira
