FWIW Killer-Wannabe App: I have a Jornada 545 and a Motorola time port phone. I can connect to my IPS account and access the net by a simple cord. Its slow (9.5kbps at best)but it works. The web pages are shown in full detail (and like the old 28 kps modems you dread the graphics). But you can up date content and get e-mails while on the road. Normaly not being and MS fan, I like Windowns CE. I can read and make minor edits on e-mail attachments such as excel and word documents. If sprint deploys HDR in the 18 months they say (on www.internettelephony.com) my cruise rate should improve. It is not perfect, but I can envision progress being made that takes advantage of both increased access speeds and device processing power. It will be a while before 2 GBPS makes a portable dumb terminal the standard.
