Well, let's look at CSCO's year end Annual Total Revenues, in $Millions, from that 2016 date that you referred to and maybe get a different perspective ----->

2016 = 49,247
2017 = 48,005
2018 = 49,330
2019 = 51,904
2020 = 49,301
2021 = 49,818
2022 = 51,557
2023 = 56,998

One will see that from 2020, inclusive, to 2023 there's been a constant rise in CSCO's annual Total Revenue.

That's equivalent to a Compounded annual rate of :-

56998 = 49301(1+r/100)^3
so "r" = ~5% compounded.

There's no doubt that between 2016 and 2019 CSCO's Revenue was "up and down". But from 2020 there's been a constant rise.

In CSCO's recent Quarterlies we see a general rise in Revenues from 3QFY2022 (12,835) TO 4QFY2023 (15,203) ----->

However, there was a dip in its latest 1QFY2024 (14,668) which probably accounts for CSCO's recent price fall to around $48 ----->

I guess we'll have to wait and see what CSCO's next few Quarterlies reveal ........

I must have a look at the financials of JNPR, PANW and UI.

I think it may be fair to say that the Revenues of the above 3 are in the region of 1,900 and 7,200 $Millions. So, in that regard, CSCO is in a different league with its Revenues generally exceeding 50,000 $Million, so its increases would tend to be a bit more moderate .....
