Rick, you bring up an interesting point with S3's "SONIC VIBES" audio chip. First of all, why would "great" audio be needed for a PC. Since the PC is usually in the home that usually has a home stereo system, the pc for music is just for convenience.? --Is the audio chip geared for hot shoot 'em up games where better sound could be a plus.? --Is it for the Net where soon people will use their pc as a TV.(Movies, sitcoms, music video,etc.) and watch more real video and audio?? (this seems the most logical answer) Ps: Are there any estimates of the audio units to be sold in 97?? Your comments are appreciated... John Nasser
