Bob, RE: "Thinking of buying a new computer" Love the first (tounge in cheek) paragraph of your post (although I don't agree with the rest). Understanding what is available and in the pipeline, and the relative performance, and the upcoming price decreases, makes it almost impossible to pull the trigger and spend the bucks on a new 'puter. I keep banging away on this old 486, waiting for the "next" chip. Good thing Intel doesn't have to depend on me for profits. John
