But you don't get what you pay for with Eschwab. I concur with the prior comment that they are slow. It can frequently take 10 minutes to log on for a trade, then your trade goes through successive web pages before it is finally truely entered. On a busy day the entire process can really take 20 minutes. In Eschwab's defense, however, I think that electronic trading is growing faster than anyone anticipated and it is continually necessary to expand capacity. The faster on-line trading systems are most likely the one's that have not yet accumulated the number of accounts that Schwab has. I recently switched from Eschwab to Waterhouse. So far I think it's great.
