>>>You spent time with them you could explain it so even this BoZo would understand exactly what is up with Visa.

You're no BoZo, I wish I could trade stocks half as good as you do. I actually talked to Ravi (CheckFree CTO) on this issue. As it was explained to me the Visa deal is not a deal yet. The announcement in May? was just a letter of intent. CheckFree is basically waiting to see if Visa will be able to deliver their end of the bargain (remember Visa is structured like Integrion). The good news is that CheckFree is fairly confident that it has other ways to get "good funds" that are already built into Genesis.

Back to your question...Gap, Eddie Bauer, etc.. were not discussed, but AT&T was. CheckFree made it very clear that it would not be involved in any type of Credit Card transactions (too many players), but if you were to pay your AT&T bill at the AT&T web site with your DDA account, CheckFree would be involved. It was also mentioned that AT&T would rather have consumers pay with their DDA account rather than Visa because of the 1.5% visa charge (not that CF is free, but it's cheaper in most cases)....so the conclusion I came to was that CheckFree could eventually provide this service to any web site.
