Thanks for the link. After reading some of it and the following message by Harris, I have concluded that a SSD is not for XP. However, RAM is cheap and the use of a RAM drive with XP is interesting and a challenge that might prove to be worth pursuing. I fondly remember the use of a RAM drive back in the 8088 days with the original IBM computer and the following AT computer. Doing a write/read to/from a RAM drive will be a lot faster than doing it to a mechanical drive. Interesting.
