Joe, you out there? Don't market makers buy shares, or trade amongst themselves? Thought I recall you earlier commenting on this, when we wondered about some strange volume blips.

Jon, are you saying only a market maker can short a stock under a buck?

I always thought market makers use their power to bring the price down in order to buy shares for less money, and then they resell those same shares for more money when the buying pressure increases? You're telling me that this doesn't happen?

You've been at this a lot longer than I have, so to some extent I'm willing to be corrected. But are you sure you're absolutely, 100% correct in your previous post?

PS: Meant to respond to Jon's post, Aleta. Any other opinions out there on this subject?
