You know the expression "if it's not broken don't fix it."
I suppose it applies to Satan's view of any Christian.
Twist his tail and he will fight back... thus the need for the armour of God. I pray His hedge of protection be about you and all of His servants. If ever we emerge wounded, His grace is sufficient as He means it for our good.
Re: approaching God without being under the blood of Jesus...
I Peter 4
17 For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?
18 And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?
God states clearly in my estimation "while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." Essentially come as you are for salvation.
I would hope that any one that prays earnestly to God in faith, will be led to the message of salvation. After all, no one can come to Christ unless God draws him.
Therein lies the difference between a person putting their faith in God, as opposed to their church (if it teaches contrary to the bible) or their own vanity thinking they have a better way than God.
I will lift this family up in prayer with you and remember Linda as well.
Hold high that shield of faith!
