No, not my criteria at all...BUT it appears as if the Left and the Left media is energized by STYLE over Substance...
And I do know that appearances count when one is interviewing on a video, or in this case, interviewing for the POTUS job.. The camera catches everything....like shined shoes, polished briefcases, clean attire, or gravy stains on ties or blouses, or dog hair all over the suit, etc etc etc.
Both these men are always neatly groomed, at least that I've seen pictures of, so that isn't an issue. Getting attention of the electorate and the cameras IS an issue. It's very subtle, but it's a factor.
Can you imagine if Kerry did all the things Bush did, and we didn't hear a single word either of them said, what you would think? I know I'd have marked Kerry down if he leaned all over the podium, made faces, fiddled, etc. I marked Bush down as well.
I could understand why Bush did all those things, especially after hearing about 35 kids being bombed that day, and then having to go to FL to the hurricane areas, and feel that pain as well.... Kerry did not much of anything that day and was rested. |
