I don't know that I agree that abortion is simply a reproductive issue. It isn’t. It is mostly certainly a moral/ethical issue, as the “reproduction” takes place the moment a human conceptus comes to be. After that point, the choice to reproduce has been made. We may then only choose between allowing the result of reproduction to do what it and all of the rest of us do, which is strive toward greater self-expression, or killing it. When we kill the conceptus we logically kill ourselves, and self-annihilation is not a rational basis for human society.
