When the SDRAM bus saturates on 2GHz P4/i845, the latency will increase dramatically, and performance will tail off.

i845 will get murdered by the press, as it denies P4 it's claim to fame (DRAM bandwidth.)

Anyway, SDRAM is currently being sold well below cost, and when that situation normalizes there will be no reason to use i845 anyway.
