Bush lied when he claimed he never said Saddam was behind 9-11. technically, he may be right, but he stated in the rush to war "We cannot distinguish between Saddam and Osama in the war on terror". Plus anyone who dared to question the wisdom of invading Iraq was accused of being "in with the terrorists". In fact, Iraq has never attacked the US and had no active terrorism programs.
