That's pasted from an excel spreadshhet and I'm not going to try to line up all the entries in the proper columns. The most important is the first- -the year- -and the next to last, the federal budget durplus or deficit as a per cent of GDP.
Note that in 2002, the last year in the table, the deficit was 9% of GDP.
In 1995 the deficit was 12% of GDP. In 1994 it was 16%. In 1985 it was 35%. In 1943 it was 227%.
