I figured the early returns would be absentee, and would be conservative- I must say I'm surprised Liberman is trailing by so much. It will be very interesting if he loses by a lot.

Three-term Sen. Joe Lieberman trailed in very early returns Tuesday, struggling to overcome a tough primary challenge and escape payback from his own party for supporting the Iraq war. Six years after Democrats backed him for vice president, Lieberman was trailing with 43 percent, or 7,199 votes, to political novice Ned Lamont's 57 percent, or 9,399 votes, with just 6 percent of precincts reporting.
