Second_Titan, here's a list of ingredients for a virtuous society: freedom individual rights political and economical freedoms - morality? Without morality the first three can't be put into play. We forfeit our freedom and we enter into a vicious circle of poverty. Whether you like it or not religion plays a huge role in our lives but the role of the state is not to control how we think and live, but to protect the environment that includes the first three on the list.
